Joanne Peh Nipple Slip

I was reading the papers that Yahoo top search was that of Joanne Peh nipple slip recently at the awards, but after looking at the pictures, I was thinking, man the girl that reported the incident must be from a village hidden somewhere far up the mountain, To be honest, so what? there are plenty of girls I know don’t even like to wear a bra, exposure is for them to worry and they feel comfortable wearing it, Why bother with this report? she is just flaunting what she has and if she has it why not flaunt it ! Some people can’t even dare to bare, let alone dress as elegant as her AND bare, no doubt it would be better if she was more filling if you know what I mean the dress would have been a perfect 10.

Here is the pictures of the incident that sparked it all took it from Asiaone and its censored, but I think its really no big deal in this modern society. What Say you? to Flaunt or not to Flaunt ?

Poem for my best friend and long life mate

Time has passed, and It will never return
Sorrow and pain, My heart
did burn
Joy and happiness has kept those feeling at bay
All those
wonderful times I had to say

Throught the years we seen each
other
Not once when you were sad or you were a bother
All I want
is for you to smile with joy
I try hard and my very best to give you
all the toys

I wonder when our last breath will be
So now I
cherish you everytime I see
I have hopes and dreams of a family
A
bright future when a prince or princes come finally

I ask not
alot from you, just your time
Not money nor material of priced
All
i want is your love and time
Hear me out as we are together today

10
years we have been side by side
many more to come I believe it might

But we never know what to expect
but before anything happens I
would say
You are always in my mind when I pray

My moments
with you have been never better. this poem is specially created and dedicated to my wife
as we are
together for 12 years and I hope many more to come.

As we celebrate
our 12 year anniversary today. I Love you

Running Idea’s and Websites

I am still nursing my sore shins, I am wondering when will it recover,

realized about the pain, I am still not going to give in to the pain, I
am heading out today to sign up for the TRI-RUN happening this 11th

my running schedule, but hey no pain no gain. Have started on my
strength exercise since I am down from running. Anyway I have already
packed up my bags and going for a run today at the track, just going to

Shin Splits Symptoms

It has been a Month passed since I have gotten my Garmin FR60, I would say that I am loving it but It would be great to have it with a GPS system inbuilt, like the Forerunner 405, but the Forerunner 405 is butt ugly to me by looks, and the problem with having a GPS system in the watch, is that it will have a lithium ion battery built-in, and you need to recharge it after every use, whats the point ! I don’t want a watch which I would need to charge after every run.

anyway it has been a month and I could see great progress from the 1st day of me training alone against me training with a HR watch, the best part of this watch is that it shows the speed that we are moving, like the pace. WOW, I am really using this to the max, I am trying to push for a sub 50min 10k. for the moment, I have pushed it down to 9km in 47min, and my 4km is at 19min, So if I kept my pace at 4min/km that 5km run would have been only 23min. So here comes lies the problem. I think I have over trained myself. I keep wanting to go faster and longer. Looks like the last three days really hammered my legs. I may have SHIN SPLITS ! *mild one I think*

so what are the symptom to Shin splits

  • Pain over the inside lower half of the shin.
  • Pain at the start of exercise which often eases as the session continues
  • Pain often returns after activity and may be at its worse the next morning.
  • Sometimes some swelling.
  • Lumps and bumps may be felt when feeling the inside of the shin bone.
  • Pain when the toes or foot are bent downwards.
  • A redness over the inside of the shin (not always present).

I am sure lots of people out there have experience this problem when you run or maybe some other activity. I am also looking for a treatment to speed up recovery so as I can do my runs. I have 1 half marathon and 1 full in 2 weeks time. I have not gone long enough distant to do a tapering yet.
so lets try some of this treatment and hope it helps

What can the athlete do about shin splints?

  • Rest to allow the injury to heal.
  • Apply ice or cold therapy in the early stages, particularly when it is very painful. Cold therapy reduces pain and inflammation.
  • Stretch the muscles of the lower leg. In particular the tibialis posterior which is associated with shin splints.
  • Wear shock absorbing insoles in shoes. This helps reduce the shock on the lower leg.
  • Maintain fitness with other non weight bearing exercises such as swimming, cycling or running in water.
  • Apply
heat and use a heat retainer or shin and calf support after the initial
acute stage and particularly before training. This can provide support
and compression to the lower leg helping to reduce the strain on the
muscles. It will also retain the natural heat which causes blood
vessels to dilate and increases the flow of blood to the tissues to aid
    healing.

at the moment I am only using the method RICE, which stands for Rest, Ice, Compression and last but not least Elevation *which dont think will help shin*split*

Here are two stretches that I do to ease my shins.

Anyway hope to be running soon again, catch ya later on more updates on running measurements

2 days with no updates

Two days gone by and no updates. But it does not mean that I did not do anything, I was on course with Singapore National Employer Federation (SNEF)
We had to undergo a course for decision making and problem solving, The course was conducted in Tanglin Shopping Centre and I always get confused with Tanglin Mall, as usual I got off at the wrong place, but I was early cause I did not take the car this time, took the public transport and boy it was crowded. Anyway the course was facilitated by Mr. Arul John Peter, unique name I might say but he was a awesome guy, good facilitating skills with lots of life experience to share.

In this course I had take home something pretty interesting which he mentioned "get to know your customers, your friends etc..etc.. Wine" know their wine and you shall get to a relationship in another level. I was thinking what Wine are we talking about? a Chablis 1993 Grand Cru? A Romanee Conti Vintage?  but infact he was not talking about these type of wine. The wine he was talking about stands for

  • Wants
  • Interest
  • Needs
  • Expectation

and I do believe him cause I do use a similar type of WINE but not that exactly its called DISC profiling. DISC means

  • Dominance – relating to control, power and assertiveness
  • Influence – relating to social situations and communication
  • Steadiness (submission in Marston’s time) – relating to
    patience, persistence, and thoughtfulness
  • Conscientiousness (or caution, compliance in Marston’s time) –
    relating to structure and organization

I am sure some part of your life you have done this ? no? well you definitely have to try, I have countless time and my results have always been consistent throughout, I know myself pretty well but do you know yourself? try going online and search for a free profiling test. Try it and you will be amaze. To me this toll serves as a very useful tool to know people and understand them. I wont bore you details on how to read each profile as there are plenty of experts to tell you that online. Just sharing what could be useful in life? and now I am adding a WINE to my tool. I think you guys who know me should know where I sit in the DISC profile.Attached is a rough guide on all 4 profile.

anyway catch ya later, heading to the gym to work on the weak legs, did a tempo run yesterday and no doubt I was faster but my right shin had a real bad cramp like feel.

Philosophy of Life

A boat docked in a tiny Mexican fishing village.

A tourist complimented the local fishermen on the quality of their fish and asked how long it took him to catch them.

Not very long." they answered in unison.

"Why didn’t you stay out longer and catch more?"

The fishermen explained that their small catches were sufficient to meet their needs and those of their families.

"But what do you do with the rest of your time?"

"We sleep late, fish a little, play with our children…. In the evenings, we go into the village to see our friends, have a few drinks, play the guitar, and sing a few songs.

We have a full life."

The tourist interrupted,

"I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you!
You should start by fishing longer every day.
You can then sell the extra fish you catch.
With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat."
"And after that?"

"With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have an entire fleet of trawlers.
Instead of selling your fish to a middle man, you can then negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant.

You can then leave this little village and move to Mexico City , Los Angeles , or even New York City !

From there you can direct your huge new enterprise."

"How long would that take?"

"Twenty, perhaps twenty-five years." replied the tourist.

"And after that?"

"Afterwards? Well my friend, that’s when it gets really interesting, " answered the tourist, laughing. "When your business gets really big, you can start buying and selling stocks and make millions!"

"Millions? Really? And after that?" asked the fishermen.

"After that you’ll be able to retire,
live in a tiny village near the coast,
sleep late, play with your children,
catch a few fish, and spend your evenings drinking and enjoying your friends."

"With all due respect sir, but that’s exactly what we are doing now. So what’s the point wasting twenty-five years?" asked the Mexicans.

Waking up to the thought of

Woke up today to the thought of Boston Marathon, well I didnt really wake up to the thought of it but more like Slept with the thought of it, so just before I went to sleep I wished those Boston runners good luck and that was before their starting time then I hit the sack for a day of work. When I woke up my blackberry was blinking a red light as its notifying me of something, took a look and it was my twitter, scrolled through the update and found out that the Marathon had already finished, and what a time It was. The winner came in at a time of 2:05:52 sec and he is Kenyan Robert Cheruiyot ! even the top women Ethiopia’s Teyba Erkesso came in at a time of 2:26:11

Congratulations you guys were like a blazing bat out of hell, How can one person actually run in that kinda speed for 42km ? isn’t it amazing to know what a human can do if they under go training and put their mind into it. Well I am going to face my demon soon this coming May a 25km run and a 42km Night run ! let see what this human can do, guess will falter and out of wind by the 10km mark ! LOL seems to be the rain is killing my training, had no run for 2 days already and the last was just a short 4km distant, have not been doing my long distant run maybe cause of my shin, I was so worried that I have develop shin splits, but I have rested and massaged it. Looks like going to hit the long run today and only dream of being like those kenyan, I am wondering if I spray myself in black and shave my head bald, will I have the will power and speed like them ? only hoping ! but who knows maybe ..

Washing your Running shoes?

I think some of you guys might want to know if anybody washes their running shoes? We do have to consider the factor on why we have to wash our shoes once in a while, do you know that the dust and mud would act like a corrosion agent to speed up the wear and tear of your shoes? so why wash your shoe ? the contributing factor has got  to be

1) Dust
2) Muddy
and the one most frequently happening is
3) SMELLY !

Yes I have to admit, I do have smelly shoes, cause I always run without socks, but that’s only for my racing flats, I myself have about 4 or 5 pairs of running shoes, cause its for every kind of condition, if its going to be a fast run, I love training in my racing flats, if its distance 10k and above, I love to be using my Marathon shoe abit heavy but it gives good cushioning, Trail shoes for doing trail run or in muddy terrain as it has a wider base but not recommended for street running as the grip is a killer.

I am just going to give my 2cents worth on washing shoes dont have to abide by it but it works for me, I have recently completed a run and it was sure hell muddy, what would you need to wash

1) A pail to fit your shoe in
2) Mild Detergent
3) Soft brush
4) and News Paper *YES* News paper

Take the pail of water and put some detergent in it, mild one works best. then soak your shoe in it but not longer than 10mins cause if you soak it too long the glue and the seams will start to fall apart. Take the brush and scrub out all the mud and dirt, then quickly pour away all the water and fill it up with water in the pail again and wash away any dust remaining in the shoe. Take out your insole as well to dry, Here comes the news paper part, Take the news paper and stuff it inside the shoe to ensure that it retains it shape, do not dry your shoe under direct sunlight, it should be good as new ! I have a friend who says he throws his shoe in the washing machine, well i guess that would work, but I would never do that cause to think of your shoe in contact with the ground and what ever that has been there and throwing the shoe in the washing machine filled with our daily clothes? YUCKS !

Enjoy your clean shoes.

Dis-honesty and STUPID

My oh my if you would have found something which do not belong to you would you keep it? then go over to some place and purchase items for the item  you ahve found ? then only to find out you have been cheated by the shop owner who sold you the item ? Well one person was stupid enough to find a phone, purchase accessories for it and then found he was over charged and this is the one that takes the cake, HE REPORTED IT and even said that he FOUND the phone. How stupid can that be? well I wont further elaborate you can read it all here about his stupidity.

By The DigitalOne TechBot,

A gadget store at Lucky Plaza was alleged to have overcharged a customer some $300 more for phone accessories.

When
the customer returned to the store to dispute the bill, the shop staff
was said to have intimidated the man, and made him sign an agreement to
not further pursue the matter.

According to the Chinese evening
daily Lianhe Wanbao, it all started when Mr Chen Bing Yan found a
Blackberry smartphone in the restroom.

The 22-year-old decided to keep his find and went to Lucky Plaza to purchase accessories for the phone.

There, he approached a gadget shop and purchased a battery, screen protector, Micro SD card and a charger for $541.

It was only later that Mr Chen found out the items he purchased were only worth about $200.

He
then returned to the store to dispute the charges, but was instead
confronted by five of the shop’s staff. He told Lianhe Wanbao that the
staff had even asked him "What do you plan to do?" in a threatening
manner.

Later on, Mr Chen said that the shop staff wrote and
agreement and made him sign it. The note, written on a piece of
foolscap paper, was a promise not to further pursue the matter.

Convinced that he was in danger of being hurt, Mr Chen signed the agreement.

Mr Chen also received a multi-purpose charger worth $30 as a compensation for the overcharging

Shop was "blacklisted"

A
friend later told Mr Chen that the Blackberry phone he found was only
worth $500. The friend also told him that the store he visited was
famous for being "blacklisted" as one that overcharges unsuspecting
customers.

Mr Chen told Lianhe Wanbao that he was unaware of
the shop’s reputation at that time, and only visited that store because
he was in a hurry. He lamented that what he had spent on accessories
could actually buy the Blackberry phone he had found.

"I’ve
never seen this brand of phone before. When I found it, I thought it
was a very expensive model, so I did not find it out of the ordinary
when the shop quoted me that much for the Blackberry’s accessories. I
thought a more expensive phone would mean accessories that cost more.

"I was also in a hurry then, so I did not haggle over the price."

Micro SD cards at "seasonal price"

When
a Lianhe Wanbao reporter contacted the Lucky Plaza store about the
prices for BlackBerry accessories, the shop staff were unable to give
specific prices of the products in question.

The shop staff would only say that a Micro SD card was sold at a "seasonal price" when asked how much would one be selling for.

When
the reporter continued to press for answers, the salesperson at the
other end of the line appeared to sound agitated. He then said that he
does not know anything, and asked the reporter to visit the store for
more information on prices.

So how stupid can this guy get? he found it and he should just be quiet about it, so now the Police can actually look for him for keeping a property not rightfull his !

Half Marathon Time

its funny when I put my this on my msn display 21k in 1hr 44min, and people msg me that WTF you made 21k in 1hr and 44min? not one but a couple, isnt that a normal nature for human to think of money first? but what about athlete ? they would know that the 21k is meant to say 21km, LOL i wish I can do both to be honest but its not my timing , I only aim to do a sub 2 for my coming 25km this May and a Sub 5 for my Marathon, its pretty slow timing but I will have to try, I have gain a considerable amount of weight after 3 years of low sedentary lifestyle. I am starting to pick up the pieces. Support me ok! I have sold my bike and I dont have one , so I am reduce to just my running, I use to do brick workout every alternate days, for you peeps who dont know what is brick workout, its to cycle then to run, I use to do that because of Malakoff, I had a pretty good time on the highway, I remember when I was already on my 30km route and this two jokers *Matt and Lawrence* drove up beside me and honked me in the middle of the highway. It was good memories till I sold my bike.

Well this time I am just concentrating on my running and going to lose those flabs around my waist, its pretty disgusting to be honest, from a 13% body fat to now 18% its just disgusting. well.. ONWARDS we go, Felix if you are reading this, you are really crazy to sign on the two run IMHO, but then again who cares we only live once, lets RUN !!

oh the world record for half marathon now is Zersenay Tadese of Eritrea, clocking 58:23 at the EDP Lisbon Half Marathon. This guys got a lungs of er…er.. i can’t even describe, he is virtually sprinting all the way. How do they do it ? total RESPECT

Starhub Freestyle Urban Run

Yesterday went for the Starhub urban run 6.5k *fun run* had no timing chip and all as this is totally a obstacle course where I figured it would be poorly constructed and how right I was, well lets start with the run report, went to the Padang to get ready as it was just after the rain and I had figured that its going to be a wet and muddy place. and so right. My NB racers caught so much mud that I think I had to throw it away, well wifey was there to support as always, She came with her slip on and thats why she could not maneuver around the Padang,  So before I went to the starting line was waiting for Felix to arrive, So I got a quick shot of wifey and myself. Camwhore time la what else

many things to see and do actually but the terrain was just terrible. So when I met up with Felix, we went to the start line as its a staggered start of 20 people by 30 sec. Whilst walking to the starting pen, I saw a familiar face while the other was taking a picture of him. I pinched his abs and he was startled to see me ! it was HELEN and IZHAR!

my ex-colleague awesome to see familiar faces in race event, I remember I use to meet alot of familiar faces when I was doing my event back in Msia, it was just a familiar event where all of us will meet, I usually will see the local tri, runners and weekend warriors, so happy back then. I guess most of them would have forgotten me as I faded out of the scene and came over to a unfamiliar territory  I stumble upon a blog when I was looking for Ironman Langkawi 2010 and it was Stupe, he is also a triathlete, local runner and all, but it has been so long since we all met up I guess he also has forgotten who I am
He wrote a good writeup on his personal account for his Ironman 2010 click here "STUPE Incoherent Ramblings"

So back to race report, here is the race course for your guidance

I give up, i wrote a whole long blog on all the obstacle but it was wiped out due to some technical glitch ! ARGH !not going to post it up again !
will do so if I find time.

but the highlight of the day was this guy!! YUP, not sure who you are but you know what you were doing with your camera and angling it up at the bench! lucky my wife caught what you were doing, HEY stupid check your camera light before you even wanna take up skirt pictures ok ! if you see this, consider yourself lucky that I did not report you to the police !

Bike Garage

Bike Storage has always pose a problem for users to store their bikes, but not those who own BIG bad ass houses where they have their own GARAGE ! where they stack their frames, their rims and their bikes all up in the garage, I wanted to build a garage for my house in Malaysia but I scrapped that Idea once I came back to Singapore, now I am living in a small bird nest, they call that in Singapore, it means an apartment basically, only the RICH lives in houses.

So for me, I have this huge long wall where I am figuring to convert it into my bike storage place, I am thinking 3 bikes to be hung on the wall, One is my tribike, my roadbike and my MTB and maybe a Fixie for color aesthetic, spruce up the house abit. I already have a retro bike which is a road bike but only 7 speed, it belongs to the 1980 era and its made of steel, I did not take a picture of it but its all chrome and has white tape and white saddle with white tyres. Awesome ride but Its too precious to be ridden on everytime.

Anyway, this is a 5 year project, lets see if I can make it come true, I am still looking for one guys picture, he had taken a picture of his garage and its exactly what I wanted, he hung all his deep section rims about 10 pair, his Cervelo tri bikes, and his cervelo mountain bike. Totally COOL ! cause its all red, MY

kinda color for any bike. Here are some pictures I got off the net on bike garage

cant really find it but this is one of the ideas I have in mind below, check it out.

Looks good doesnt it. well I dont want it to look good, I need it to be neat, I am kinda neat freak, so lets hope I can even plan to store it in the room even ! PRAY hard if I could win some money so It wont have to be so long! HEAR ME OUT MAN IN THE SKY ABOVE ! lets go ride a bike when I get some cash from lottery or some good Windfall ! har har

STUNT Ballerinas in SAUDI ARABIA

OMG ! this is totally crazy, Its just too "INSANE" not to share.. check it out ! I had a good laugh, this guys have the grace of a ballerina and the road is their stage, Totally insane if you ask me, but look at their gracious forms, I was hoping one of them would fall out and get hit by the car passing by, man no luck of that happening cause this guys are pro ! check it out, have a good laugh

Dreaming a Dream

I believe everyone has a dream, I am not talking about those dream where you day dream, that happens everyday in our life, This dream of what I am talking about is a dream to buy a nice car, or a big House, or even to own a yacht, something you can buy but in the near future if you plan well for it,  everyone has dreams, but has it ever come to your mind that one day if your dream will ever come true? I believe that all dreams are achievable when you put your mind to it. I have plans and I have dreams segmented into long term dream, and mid term dream, why no short term ? cause why short? those are things you can get every time, Mid term and long term dreams are like Goals, where you have to plan to achieve it. but Dreams and goals are different, goals are achievement through hard work and sweat + planning of course, dreams are achievement through careful planning of your money.

Then why you think people always advertise this in their slogan, To buy your "DREAM house" or to buy your "DREAM CAR".  I guess I have to realized that my dream is slowly fading away, its actually to buy a not so expensive thing, its not really expensive but just that I can’t justify that I will use that item. My Mid term dream is something I have been looking and searching for it for 2 years now and I have grown quite fond of one of it but I just can’t put myself to buy it, its not really expensive, its a 5 digit boy toy, I don’t know why I can’t bring myself to do it. I am just worried that Its a foolish buy. I guess its really going to be a dream after all. More and more purchases and burden will be piled upon till you realize that your Dream is really a dream.

Lets see if I am able to get my mid term "DREAM", so whats your dream?

Race Kit Collection

Today was a crazy day, it was just raining and raining from yesterday, thats why if you were to see my running schedule, there was no run, cause it was just raining the whole day. not cool, so as I woke up today made a arrangement with Felix to do our long run in the East coast but guess what MORE RAIN ! sienz.. anyway .. went out at about 1pm to collect the race kit for next weeks race, One is the 2Xu Compression run  and the other is the Starhub Freestyle Urban run. Am truly looking forward to both of the race cause it will determine how I am doing after a long hiatus from running, well not that long but have been lazy.

lemme show you what I was given:

The first one is the 2XU compression run race kit was pretty neat, What you get is a dry fit tshirt, a $50 Rudy project voucher and the race bib, the highlight of this race pack is the Compression socks, they give you free if you join both race which is the newton 30 + this 2Xu run, so if you see the race belt on the table its actually for 30k newton run. So pretty neat. In the next post I will tell you more on the compression effect it has on athletes and their performance.

and guess what this is the next stop where I went to town to collect this Starhub Freestyle urban run, it only has this miserable Tshirt and my race bib, Totally not cool, not even a bag to carry it as they told me it ran out ! which in the right mind would not prepare for this race pack collection, Imagine you already know how many people is going to run and yet you don’t cater enough bags ? ?? what is this, what happened here? but its totally the first time I can tell you.. I dont think any organiser would want this to happen but HEY it happened here.. and its my first experience. looks like this is one bad organised race I think. Will do a race report on it soon.

Support “Share our Roads”

Hi Guys Please all support this, as cycling in Singapore is definitely not a safe thing, I was honked at for no reason as I was cycling down Temasek Boulevard, cars always give dirty stares and all, maybe they are jealous that they can’t have all the fun and they have to be stuck in their lousy 4 wheeler breathing down their own smell instead of us cyclist enjoying the scenery and having *erm* fresh air ? cant really say that, but anyway this is how we support the movement.

What Togoparts.com intends to do (Campaign Plan)

1) Distribute up to 900 decals free (1st round) to all who are willing to put up on their vehicles.

2) To get everyone to put up for a cause, a photo gallery (showroom) will be set up for our members (or any other people) to upload the decals stuck on the car as "evidence".

3) We aim at least 300 of such photos to be uploaded to make this awareness campaign a publicly visible and successful one.

4) Create a permanent page feature with regards to cycling safety and how drivers can drive responsibly to minimise if not elminate unfortunate accidents all together.

If you have access to safety material/information with regards to driving and cycling on public roads, please send an email to cyclistsafety@togoparts.com

5) Create a fixed feature and have consistent banner/EDM runs on togoparts.com and other partner web portals and publications to raise awareness.

If you are a media owner or someone who can help in raising awareness on any media platform such as outdoor advertising, magazines, blogs, twitter pages, facebook pages etc, please send an email to cyclistsafety@togoparts.com. We want to work with you.

How do I pre-order my decals?
You may request for your decals here on this thread.

Where do I get the decals?
Once the decals are printed by 5th April 2010, we will distribute them at various locations to be announced later after office hours.

This page will be updated as things progress. So lets us all support it !
