My 2cents worth on lifestyle and Multi Sports

ZOMBIES have landed !!

Test your eye sight here, tell me what you see

Yup, you saw that right, Zombies are coming, Protect your brain and run for your life. This is one race where your legs giving out are the least of your problems. Run For Your Lives is a first-of-its-kind event, one part 5K, one part obstacle course, one part escaping the clutches of zombies — and all parts awesome.

Runners will navigate a series of challenging obstacles throughout a 5K course in an attempt to reach the finish line — all while avoiding zombies. At the end of this adventure race, you get to celebrate survival (or zombie transformation) with live entertainment and music, local celebrities, vendors, food, and of course, beer!

Tell me how awesome is that, at least someone is putting some zing and creativity to runs, usually its just the road and you, then sometimes you get trails and you , lately I have been seeing obstacle races but seriously this is the next level of FUN and RUN .. I would most definitely be running in this if it ever arrives on Singapore shore. I please the organizers if you need race directors or organizers I would want to be part of it. Lemme Lemme Lemme at it ..

So What is a Zombie 5k Race?

• A Zombie 5k Obstacle Race is a 3.1 mile race with obstacles.  However, unlike the traditional race you are being pursued by brain hungry Zombies.

How Do I Survive

• Their are many strategies but we will let you figure them out.  The basic is to keep the Zombies from taking your flags.  And it does not hurt to remember to be faster than the next guy!

Strategies

• Well you have to run 5k or 3.1 miles on an uneven terrain while being pursued by slow, running and climbing zombies.  You must make it to the safe zone with at least one flag or find some vaccine hidden on the course.

What Do We Suggest

• Start the race dodge the zombies and finish the race and have a beer in the safe zone.

Zombies

• There will be four types of Zombies: walkers, crawlers, runners and climbers.  Hopefully the virus has not mutated and created a fourth type of Zombie.

Runners will get

• Receive a race Bib, t-shirt, pass to Safe Zone Party, 1 free beverage ticket and a medal.

Spectators

• receive a pass to Safe Zone Concert and admittance to selected areas to view carnage.

What type of Obstacles will you expect?

• Each course varies in terrain type and obstacles.  Such as when the Zombie Apocalypse occurs you will be running and dodging.  So, obstacles range from mud, water, climbing ropes, tunnels, climbing ropes, fences, cars, zombies and much more.

Top Three Runners

• The top three runners in every age group will receive a prize and recognition.

This run was featured on CNA recently. They showcased this event in the Philippines. The spokeswoman was very funny. She mentioned it is a good platform to train for the Olympics. Seriously?
