This is helluva funny, check this out on a comparison done between the iPhone user and the Android users, as mentioned the iPhone users are like girls and Android are like men, what about the rest of the OS ? survey’s results hold true, then you probably smell like a girl, prefer
to eat chicken over any type of meat and keep fish as pets.

The
data, released by US website Coupons.com, highlighted the differences in
discount coupons downloaded by iPhone users and their Android
counterparts.

With the help of an app called Grocery iQ, which
is available for the iPhone, iPad and Android, the website analyzed the
number of coupons downloaded and printed by different groups of
smartphone owners.

Here are the results of what downloaded coupons say about iPhone and Android phone owners:

#7. iPhone users smell like girls, Android users smell like men

Are Androids from Mars and iPhones from Venus?
It would seem so, if you look at the type of body wash coupons
downloaded by both sets of users.

iPhone users downloaded eight times as many coupons for women’s body wash products as compared to Android users.

Android owners, on the other hand, downloaded more coupons for men’s body wash.

#6. Android users are pork-eaters, while iPhone owners eat chicken

According
to the Coupons.com data, iPhone users seem to have a thing for chicken -
on their dinner tables at least. They downloaded 6 times more discount
coupons for chicken meat as compared to their Android counterparts.

On
the other hand, Androind owners are pork-eaters. Not only were discount
coupons for pork the favourite among them, they downloaded those
coupons almost twice as often as their iPhone-totting friends.

#4. Fish owners VS bird keepers

If you own an iPhone, you’re more likely to keep fish. Own an Android phone? Chances are you keep a bird as a pet.

Coupons.com’s data showed that fish food coupons were the most popular in the Pet Food: Other category among iPhone owners.

And
they seem to keep quite a lot of fish at home too – iPhone users
downloaded a whooping 26.2 times more fish food coupons compared to
their Android user counterparts.

Android owners, on the other
hand, downloaded the most bird food coupons. For every one bird food
coupon downloaded by an iPhone user, Android owners downloaded 3.6 such
coupons.

#3. Android users take care of themselves first

It
seems like Android owners are either spending too much time at the
office desk, or just don’t like rainy days too much. They’re also more
likely to take care of themselves first when it comes to personal care
products.

The top coupon download among Android users in the
Personal Care products category was for arthritis and pain-relief
patches. May we suggest say, a few hours outdoors, Android people?

iPhone
owners, on the other hand, seem to be busy parents. Their favourite
coupons in this category were for baby care products; and they were
downloading them with a gusto – at a rate of 41.7 times more than
Android users.

#2. Getting down and dirty

iPhone users, it seems, are more hands on people, preferring to get down and dirty – when it comes to cleaning that is.

Multi-surface cleaners made the top of the list of coupons downloaded for cleaning products among iPhone users.

On the other hand, Android owners preferred buying continuous toilet bowl cleaners on the cheap.

Does
the Coupons.com data suggest then, that iPhone users are more hands-on
people, while Android users spend more time on the can?

#1. Conclusion

If we merged all the data from the Coupons.com analysis, we get the following:

iPhone users are feminine-smelling, chicken-eating, house-cleaning, fish owner parents with young kids.

On the other hand, Android users are masculine-smelling, pork-eating, bird-owning, arthritis-prone passive toilet bowl cleaners.

Quite different, don’t you think?

  Yes, the iPhone is generating waves of interest again. Looks like the hype for 3Gs just went down the drain the second Steve opened his mouth and said unveiled the future, but whats funny is that usually Steve really know how to captures the audience with his jokes mustered through his seriousness. Wow, I have to say this is one cool gadget , the Ipad can even be your personal weighing scale with BMI and Fat analysis, looks like time for all the company to pack up! Ipad is definitely taking over everything in the world, including the cure for AIDS and stopping the WAR in the middle east !

I am not sure how many people knows about this software called "Foursquare" , seems that its the new twitter. I myself downloaded it into my blackberry and gave up after 2 hours on it, but I dwell on learning something so complicated, but is it? I won’t be able to describe a user experience like how I use twitter but I will post a "how to below this later" I think there are more cons that pros when using this location base software. but anyway if you want to find out more please visit or click  FOURSQUARE. What is foursquare?

In a nutshell, it’s a location service-based social
network-come-game. What it does in effect is to tell you where your
friends are and add a little fun to going out in the evening. It’s like
Google Lattitude meets a little bit of Facebook, a touch of Twitter, a dash of Qype and even a twist of World of Warcraft. And if that’s not a cocktail for hopeless addiction, then we’re not sure what is.

How does it work?

The whole system is based around what is known as "checking-in". You
check-in from bars and restaurants and any kind of nightspot or
watering hole, perhaps with a little message
about where you are and what you’re doing – all very brief – and the
system will then register what you’re up to. People who you’re friends
with will then get pinged a message to let them know your whereabouts
and activities, and the idea is that they can then join you if they
fancy or just be pleased that you’re out
having a good time. From the other side of things, if you’re out on
your own somewhere, suddenly mateless in town or stuck at home and bored, you can see where everyone’s
at and get yourself down to the party. All pretty simple. The other two
things you can do are create a to-do-list of places you’ve always
wanted to go and add to a Top 12 list of your recommendations for other
people.

And what about the game?

The clever, or clever-er, part is that you get points for
checking-in. The idea is that it encourages you to do so, which then
gets the system running and propagates the idea and the fun even
further. It’s all rather new, even for the developers, and much of the
system is still evolving but, at the moment, you get a point for
checking in, you get five points if it happens to be from a place
you’ve never checked-in from before; a further point if it’s the
second, third, fourth etc place of the evening; and another still for
checking-in multiple nights in a row, you old booze hound, you. You can
only get points for checking-in outside of work hours – presumably to
prevent potential mass job loss and alcoholism – but you’re always
eligible for the five discovery points no matter what time of day it is.

Naturally,
the points aren’t good for anything other than bragging rights but
that’s currency a-plenty with a leader board on the site with the top
users. Also, if you check-in from the same place more times and more
regularly than anyone else, then you might find yourself crowned Mayor
of that gaff on the site – an honour that many may try to wrestle from
you but then, that’s part of the fun. You’ll probably begin as rivals
and end up the next week amassing 50 points together on some all night
bender.

You can also earn badges as you check-in which is where the parallel of World of Warcraft
and its Achievements system lies. Firstly, there are badges for the
number of times you’ve checked-in to new establishments from Newbie up
to Superstar, plus all sorts of random and more cryptic titles to earn.
Word has it that this is where the real addiction lies, especially with
the team working on and taking suggestions for all sorts of new badges.

The really clever part

That’s basically the fun side of foursquare and what you’ll
appreciate as a user, but while all this is going on, the owners of the
service are also gathering some very considerable review and guide data
for all the best spots in a whole bunch of major cities all over the
world. It’s the kind of user-generated content that Qype
specialises in but in a much less in-depth way. What foursquare then
decides to do with that is up to the business but there’s certainly
plenty of commercial scope, if only for the desire of new bars and
restaurants to get themselves listed or even to have a badge made just
for them.

How do I start?

Like all social networks, just head to the foursquare site and sign up with a free and very brief profile which will ask you for your mobile phone number so it can ping you. Then add a photo and find your friends.

Can anyone use it?

Well, yes and no. Firstly, the system has to be city specific, so
there are different networks for a number of different locations. If
there doesn’t happen to be one in your location then, it’s not going to
work for you. So far you can play in: Amsterdam, Atlanta, Austin,
Boston, Chicago, Dallas / Fort Worth, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Las
Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis / St. Paul, New York City,
Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle,
Washington, DC and now London as well. You’ll need a mobile phone to
check-in from and a decent SMS package on your price plan or, better still, there’s an app for Android, iPhone and soon ones for BlackBerry and the Palm Pre too.

IT LOOKS like everyone knows I own a piece of hot property.

And everyone has been asking me the same questions: Is the Google
Nexus One (N1) better than the iPhone? Why should we bother about
Google’s first own-brand smartphone when there is the iPhone?

In my opinion, both are wrong questions to ask.

In terms of device specs, the N1 beats the iPhone 3GS hands down.
The N1 has a higher resolution screen of 800 x 480 pixels (or twice
that of the iPhone’s), 5-megapixel camera with flash (3-megapixel and
no flash for the iPhone), twin microphones for active noise
cancellation to block out background noises and a much faster processor
(1GHz vs 600MHz).

That the N1 is the smartphone with the best specs around is only
because it is the latest. In the ongoing brutal cellphone war, the next
big phone (think iPhone version 4 or N2) will surely be even better.

The right question to ask is: ‘Which mobile platform do I want to
support – the Google Android or the iPhone’s Mac OS?’ This is because
chances are, once you are on one platform, your future phones will go
on the same platform too due to familiarity.

Many of my friends who are already on the iPhone were not convinced
about the N1. Rightly so, because they are already used to the iPhone
and the user interface on the N1 is, at best, comparable.

What makes the Android different from other mobile platforms is that
it is, in spirit, a Web phone. The reason is simple: The meteoric
growth of Google’s online advertising business in the PC world has
slowed down and mobile advertising is its next frontier. To succeed,
Google needs users to go online and, hopefully, eyeball the ads. That
is why the only thing you need to key in when you start up a new N1 is
your Gmail account information.

Immediately, my Gmail, Google contacts, Google calendar, Google Talk
and even photos previously uploaded on Picasa Web were synched with my
phone over the air, in minutes. I use the word synched, not downloaded,
because in the Google world, your data is stored in Google’s Internet
cloud and not on the handset.

But a combination of fast 3G speeds and excellent software from
Google means that you will not be able to tell the difference. The flip
side of having data stored on Google’s cloud, however, means that
Google can access your data, through software bots trawling your
account to know you better – and push targeted advertising to you. (We
trust Google to live up to its motto and do no evil.)

The iPhone is a very different creature. It started off as the first
iPod with a phone line and, today, is best described as a hybrid. You
can get e-mail over the air, download tons of apps on the fly and still
cable-synch your iTunes music library, contacts and calendars between
phone and PC. The iPhone is not a full Web-only device.

So if you already live in the Google world like me, Android is the
best choice because Google’s own apps like Gmail and Google Talk work
best on this OS.

But if you love your iTunes music library and cannot live without
your iPod, or if you are uncomfortable with storing most of your data
on the cloud, then without a doubt, go for the iPhone.

This is for Blackberry Users only, most of your problems are highlighted in this website, but not all models and updates software are able to use the tips give, I would say this site has most answers to a lot of your questions out there. for 8 days i am shutting myself off from cyber city, no twitter, no blackberry and no blogging, just me, myself and gurl. We are heading back for my best friends wedding this Saturday and I am so happy that most of my friend are getting married now, I am going to be the wedding car driver again, This is my second time, so honored, have become hengtai and also wedding planner for a few friends already. I dont know why this is happening? could it be cause I have gone through it? or cause it that I seem to be an expert in this field? I think gurl has more exprience in this than me, we not for the driving part of course.

This trip is not only going to be a very happy occasion but also I have found out about some stuff that is happening back home, Will be back to console and talk to some people about this problems, but then again, I just want to lend a listening ear, not be part of the problem. List of things to do

yes the last item on my list is actually a crazy hobby of mine, I have about 20 bottles in store and about 10 in my fridge, not even a wine fridge, looking to get a 50 or a 100 bottle wine fridge if my place is big enough, pray to god gimme some money to buy a bigger place if not the wine fridge is going to be a deco in my living room! Its a beautiful Saturday on this early week of September, My Acer laptop has officially been corrupted by virus and its definitely not in a state of revival, but will bring out the defibrillator and let it work its magic on the 4 year old heap of plastic tonight, got to bring out some files from my HD. Still got some good life in it seemingly I only use it for surfing the net, no games, no movies, no music, ok ok .. the last two is more of the extreme side but hey it was still working fine till last wee, but this blog post is not about my handicapped laptop, its more of technology holisitcally, IMHO I really and truly think that the world has shrunk to a click ! yup, a click, well lappy down got a good book to read recommended by Sarina, its called "Tuesday with Morrie" Mitch Albom and having GORGEOUS JAZZ blasting away on my hi-fi, as Borat would say it "NICEEEEEE"

Its really beautiful with the creation of blogpost,friendster,facebook, myspace, and the latest to be tried by me TWITTER. I am now in touch with Barrack Obama, Lance Armstrong, Tony AirAsia Fernandes or even Gurmit Singh, well its not really feeling them or talking to them, even thought they can do that but dont think they have time for people like us. So what do we do, we just follow them, in twitter terms its getting to know what they are up to when they so call update their tweet/twit. The world now is so small that you can find out any ALMOST anything you wan with a click, hence the phrase "shrunk to a click"
