London 2012 #Olympic Triathlon
This coming 9 am, 4th Aug (Women’s Triathlon) and 11:30am 7th August (Men’s Triathlon) Countries from all over the world will be racing for Gold, Silver and Bronze in the triathlon event. It is going to be a fast paced race with all the accomplished athletes racing for their country.
Just FYI: There are no heats in the Triathlon; both the men’s and women’s events consist of a single race. So who will you be rooting for ? My Take will be New Zealand for Gold, GBR for Silver and US of A for bronze for the mens race. Agreed?

Get Energized, Take5
Its a common thing where people down energy drinks to get that extra lift, for me I have tried countless from Monster, Rockstar, Wired, Tilt and the infamous Redbull, I have even tried funkier one’s in Japan , really not sure what I drank but it sure tasted funny, usually all the servings of this energy drinks are in 12oz sized and it fills me up pretty much. Formula Drift Singapore 2012
This weekend was a crazy weekend, Fast Cars was drifting legally in Singapore and it can only be the Formula Drift Singapore 2012 by Achilles, Last week I gave out tickets to the movie premiere of Motorway in-conjunction with this event. Marcus was one lucky dude and he was so nice to bring his dad to the movies. That’s him with Ken Gushi and his dad (in checkered shirt)
Seriously I never knew that there was such a big following in Singapore, and I was amazed with the turn out, despite the weather which was HOT HOT HOT, I think my face got burned but the hottest thing that eclipse the heat are the cars and racers themselves.

Shoe Porn Monday
Recently I just got back from a Tokyo trip and I saw the most amazing shoes that I think are only available in Japan. I can tell you that in Japan, they carry the most colors available for any brand that you know, be it Nike, Adidas, New Balance or Merrel, they sure paint their shoes like they are gonna be partying in it, I manage to capture some of the pictures of the shoes as I was afraid that some wielding katana samurai will come blazing down the aisle telling me I cant take any photograph in their store, well ok I was stopped at the Nike store, but I manage to sneak a few just before he asked me to stop.
As for the shoes I have not seen any of them on the SEA market, Ok maybe one or two of them I have seen em in retail stores.. but do check out the rest.. They are totally in crazy colors, I believe Japan has always the privilege of being able to wear crazy colors and getting away with it, I was wearing em funky Pink Puma Faas when I was there and I would say I fit right in.

Jiro Dreams of Sushi
I was browsing for sites and places to see in Tokyo when I stumbled upon what Japan considered as a National Treasure, but this treasure is a live one, and his name is Jiro Ono, this chap has been dishing out sushi all his life and now there is a documentary on him alone, I am glad that I have come to know about this person, I hope to get a glimpse of him when I am there, also did you know he was the the only Sushi chef to have gotten a 3 Michelin Star for his humble little restaurant, and by “Little” I mean it can only seat 10 at one go! That’s how small it is and yes Reservations I heard must be at least 1 year in advance.. wait for it …
you no speak Japanese sorry they don’t take your reservations, so doing more research I found out that they currently do take Gaijins reservation.

Valentine’s Day around the World
Only 5 days to the “Saint Valentine’s Day” or commonly known as Valentine’s day. This is the day where some poor kid will be spending all his savings on Flowers , Chocolates and Gifts for their love one, be it a girl or boy its the same.. come to think of it I have not really spent Valentine’s day before. What does it feel like? a day filled with Oozing love? Romantic gestures? hugs and kisses ? (getting goose bumps typing this out)
