Ridge Runners Singapore 2nd Anniversary
Two-man team to a 170-member strong club, Ridge Runners continue to keep fit and live healthy
05 September 2014, Singapore – Local running club, Ridge Runners, celebrated their second anniversary on 24 August 2014 with an anniversary run at Mount Faber. With more than 100 members present for the run, spirits were high as friends and families gathered to celebrate the special occasion.
Soaking in the cool morning weather, runners embarked on the familiar scenic route through the Southern Ridges, and returned for a group photo opportunity and light local breakfast – a Ridge Runners tradition at every run. The morning drew to an end on a high with a cake-cutting ceremony to celebrate the occasion. Co-founded two years ago by Mr. Ong Tze Boon1 and Mr. Lim Kok Hui2, Ridge Runners started out as an easy Sunday morning run by the two friends on the Southern Ridges. Since their first run on 5 August 2012, the Ridge Runners has grown into a 170-strong running group that shares in the mantra, “Keep Fit, Live Healthy”.
The Ridge Runners meet up at Mount Faber every Sunday at 6:30am for a run/jog/walk. Free for all to join without any membership fees, the club sees a wide range of participants every week, even the likes of celebrities such as Taiwanese singer-actor Vanness Wu.
