This February, Boston-based New Balance will introduce a breakthrough design for runners with the FreshFoam 980. Designed with innovative technologies, the FreshFoam 980 provides a revolutionary approach to neutral running by combining
ultra-plush cushioning with a reduced drop from heel to forefoot and offering a super soft, bouncy ride that protects runners without sacrificing speed. The FreshFoam 980 will launch in February 2014 with a suggested retail price of $169.00.
By combining the intelligence and experience of a human designer with cutting edge computer software, New Balance is able to manipulate the midsole on the FreshFoam 980 to give runners plush cushioning properties and inherent stability in a more minimal package. FreshFoam is a ground-breaking running shoe engineered to bring natural underfoot geometries alongside a cushioned ride with a blend of super soft foam that is incredibly responsive. For an excellent heel to toe transition, a blown rubber outsole offers durability and flexibility in a 4 mm natural drop last while providing both a light and stable ride.
The FreshFoam 980 has a lightweight, breathable construction paired with a simple, plush upper to keep your feet comfortable and protected. A unique spray paint finish and fresh, eye-catching design provide a lower to the ground running shoe ideal for any workout or wardrobe.
Weighing 8.8oz for a men’s size 9 ½ and 7.3oz for a women’s size 7 this new style is grounded in bright colors and vivid accents, the FreshFoam 980 offers runners a naturally cushioned yet light neutral running shoe that can also walk a runway.
The Fresh Foam 980 collection will be available at NB Concept Stores, iRUN and selected authorized retailers.
I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to this shoe, after the Minimus Hi-Rez, I have to say New Balance do have some really good innovation and tech put into their shoes.
PUMA’s Latest Football Boot Innovation Teased in Camouflage Design
6 January 2014 – PUMA launches an exciting teaser boot two weeks ahead of the global launch of its evoPOWER football collection. Incorporating the same technology and innovation as the official evoPOWER boot, the evoPOWER CAMO spots an edgy camouflage design and will be worn by international football stars Cesc Fàbregas, Mario Balotelli and Marco Reus in training and competitive games over the next two weeks.
evoPOWER draws its inspiration from the bare foot, with design characteristics that are unrivalled in the football industry. The detailed features and benefits of the boot are yet to be revealed, but the boot is designed to deliver an even greater level of power and accuracy. A closer look at the evoPOWER CAMO’s graphic design reveals a mix of grey and turquoise PUMA cat logos that together create the camouflage-like look.
Cesc Fàbregas commented on the evoPOWER CAMO, “A teaser boot always has something mysterious about it and I am happy to be one of the few that get the chance to play in this unusual design. It is always an exciting moment when PUMA present a new boot to me, but this one is especially cool. I have tested it for a while now and I am thrilled to move into this new design.”
